Origin Story
Burlin Electrical kicked off in 2011 when Ben and Daniel decided to start a company focused on reliable and efficient electrical services. From a small crew of five, we’ve grown to a strong team of 55 (and still going!). Thanks to our commitment to quality and happy customers, we’ve become a go-to name in the industry.
Key Milestones:
| 2011: | Ben and Daniel started the business, taking out personal loans to buy themselves utes. It was a small operation, beginning with residential and then moving into commercial/industrial. |
| 2014: | First apprentice starts (we now have over 20 apprentices on board!). |
| 2017: | Expanded into mechanical services aligning with our electrical division in the project space. |
| 2019: | Introduced Adam Hall (Refrigeration) and Luke Kerr (Mechanical Plumbing) who have now become project managers and directors. |
| 2022: | Service division commenced, covering preventative and reactive requests. |

From power to performance
Like a lot of businesses, when we first started — just two young guys with two utes owned by the bank — our vision was narrow; we were focused on our own skills and offered only electrical services. We delivered power.
Over a decade of listening and learning, we realised getting complex projects done faster, meeting higher standards, and optimising productivity all came down to seamless baton passing — sparkies to mechanical experts, and mechanics to refrigeration technicians.
By building a team of experts from a number of disciplines, we have done what few other trades companies do — empowered performance — true efficiency without any compromise on quality.
Scaling to new heights
Burlin’s rapid growth has been driven by a relentless focus on quality and innovation. Starting with small residential jobs, we’ve expanded to delivering services to businesses and multimillion-dollar developments.
In 2017, we broadened our scope with mechanical services, and in 2019, we added refrigeration to our capabilities, introducing specialist team members as we went, and a considered training program that has enabled our expansion to continue unhindered. Each step has been guided by our belief in offering comprehensive solutions under one roof.
